Through the "Growing Women in Coffee" initiative, Sumseron Coffee supports women in traditionally male-dominated coffee-growing communities, such as Kipkelion, West Pokot, and Mount Elgon. This program gives women ownership of coffee trees, enabling them to market their women-grown coffees and achieve greater economic and social empowerment.
30% of all coffee trees in every household we work with are registered under women’s names,ensuring financial independence.
